You can also customize more shapes (such as pocket squares) as exquisite employee souvenirs, promotional gifts, or aviation enthusiasts’ collectibles.

Optional Printing Techniques
Printing is a critical step for custom airline scarves. Our factory uses advanced printing machinery operated by 10+ years of experienced workers. Multiple production processes are available:
Standard Digital Printing
Digital technology ensures intricate details and rapid delivery. Whether your design is simple or complex, digital printing can accurately reproduce patterns on the front of scarves. For thicker fabrics, the back side may slightly whiten.
It supports smaller MOQs – starting at 30 pcs. Samples are ready within 7-10 business days, with bulk production completed in 15-20 days.
Double-Sided Digital Printing
We use the industry-leading double-sided technology to produce scarves. Whether your scarf design has the same or different colors on both sides, the result will showcase sharp details and rich colors. You can even adjust small elements of the design to add a unique surprise. The MOQ is 50 pieces per design.
Screen Printing
This method is suitable for large-scale custom orders, with a MOQ of 200 pieces per design. The traditional printing technique can be done either manually or by machine. It performs well in geometric patterns or color block designs, with high color accuracy and strong saturation.
However, screen printing often requires additional plate-making costs and longer production times.
Transfer Sublimation Printing (Designed For Polyester)
This technique uses heat and pressure to transfer dye/ink into the fabric, ensuring vibrant and long-lasting colors. The finished scarves have a smooth, flat surface with no raised texture. It supports high-resolution images, complex patterns, and gradient effects. The MOQ starts from 50 pcs, with samples ready within 3-10 days.
Edge Finishing - Enhancing Refined Details
The hem of a scarf reflects the brand positioning. It influences passengers’ first impression of the crew and the airline’s commitment to detail and professionalism. Such an important process requires careful selection.
Hand-Rolled Hem
This is the preferred choice for Hermès and many flagship airlines. The entire process relies on manual labor. Skilled workers fold the scarf’s edge inward and roll it into a smooth tube shape. It is then secured with fine stitching every 0.5 cm. Hand-rolled hems maintain a rounded shape over time and resist flattening. However, their cost is higher than machine processing, with longer production times.
Machine Straight Hem
This is the most common choice. During production, the machine automatically folds the fabric edges into uniform widths for hemming. And then sews them with straight stitches. The process is continuous and efficient. Therefore, this method is suitable for large-scale production, ensuring consistent quality. Machine straight hems are flatter and thinner, but more durable and cost-effective.
Machine Triangle Hem
Its feature is the crossed V-shaped stitch pattern. Compared with straight hemming, the machine triangular hemming offers greater lateral stretch. When the scarf is stretched, its stitches can extend to prevent breakage. This makes it ideal for repeated tying at collars, providing enhanced adaptability and durability. The hemming has regular diagonal crisscross stitches visible on either the front or back. It looks more refined than straight hemming.
Fringe and Tassel Finishes
Fringe and tassel can create a more dynamic look, making them suitable for airline promotional scarves. To reduce damage, fringe requires reinforced edge stitching, while the tassel involves attaching decorative tassels along the edge. These treatments enhance the appeal, but are not suitable for airline staff uniforms. Aviation enthusiasts or employees can wear them daily.

Custom Labels and Packaging
Labels and packaging are essential when airline scarves are used as souvenirs, promotional items, or corporate gifts.
You can add your airline’s brand name or logo to the label for enhanced recognition. In addition, including the fabric composition is a valuable detail. It determines how the scarf should be properly cared for. At Sino Silk, we offer two label options: woven labels and printed labels.
Custom packaging also reflects your airline’s care for both employees and passengers. Available options include drawer boxes, magnetic closure boxes, round boxes, top & bottom boxes, and more styles.
Custom Scarves with Brand Color and Logo
Providing your brand design for customization is one of the fastest ways to start your order. We can customize classic brand colors using the Pantone color codes you provide (e.g., Air France’s tricolor design). Adding your airline’s identity to the design can leave a lasting impression.
Classic design elements include:
- Airline names, logos, or emblems
- Aircraft tail designs
- Route map graphics
- Crew Silhouettes
- Anniversary artwork
Our design team can also adjust the scarf design based on your concept for the aviation uniform, such as pairing borders with solid-color bodies. For additional design requirements, please contact us!
