Prepare Your Logo And Any Reference Materials You Have

Please upload your logo file in AI or PDF (vector type) format. For PSD, PNG, TIF, or JPG files, please ensure the resolution is at least 300 pixels per inch. The default color mode is RGB. For specific requirements, Sino Silk can assist in adjusting the colors to match your desired mode.

Additionally, more reference materials are appreciated to bring your vision to life. They can be:

  • Signature color palettes of your brand, school, and more

Pantone code is preferred. If not, please provide color references as detailed as possible. Please note that, for some colors, it may not be possible to achieve exact color matching to the provided references due to printing and material limitations.

  • Mood boards
  • Your website links
  • Mockups or photographs of layouts you prefer
  • Examples of fonts you like

Decide on Layouts

Next, we’ll explore the optimal logo placements based on different styles and use scenarios.

Repeat Pattern/All-Over Print

A repeat pattern or all-over print allows your logo to cover the entire surface of the scarf. This design emphasizes the logo’s visual presence, making it ideal for branded scarves. However, it is noted that for logos with extremely fine lines or intricate designs, small, repeating patterns are not recommended. Otherwise, this may result in unclear lines or blurred images.

Generally, repeating patterns fall into two categories: regular and free-form. The former exudes a high-end, timeless aesthetic, while the latter offers a modern, street-style vibe.

Regular Arrangements

  • Grid repeat/Straight repeat/Full drop repeat: Logos are regularly distributed in grid patterns; Neat, balanced, and organized; The most common option for custom-made scarves with logos.
  • Stripe repeat: Logos are arranged along vertical, horizontal, or diagonal directions to form straight lines; Directional, simple, and modern.
  • Diamond repeat: Logos are evenly placed in a diamond-shaped repeat, resulting in diagonal rows; More dynamic, stylish, while being structured.
  • Brick or half-drop repeat: Offset grid repeat patterns horizontally or vertically; More lovely and less formal.

Freeform Arrangements

  • Tossed/Random repeat: Logos are scattered randomly within the repeat unit (Regardless of logo dimensions, layout directions); Extremely organic and playful; Street-style.
  • Layered effect: Logos overlap at different angles and transparencies; Deep, complex, and artistic.

Gradient Fade with Logos

Gradient effects are an advanced version of an all-over print. It is achieved by stacking logos using their density, size, or transparency. Compared to conventional repeat patterns, they feature a distinct sense of movement and visual guidance. For the best result, digital printing is the top choice for this design.

If you find repeating patterns too monotonous, you can seamlessly integrate your logo into our free design templates that align with your brand colors, mood boards, and more.

Border Layout with Logo Accents

A border design means logos are integrated with the border or placed along the edges of the scarf. It is a timeless choice for classic silk squares. This layout downplays the logo’s prominence, making it ideal for elegant, high-end, and fashionable scarves intended for sale or as luxury gifts or keepsakes.

Large Centered Logo

The design features a bold, eye-catching logo located in the center of the scarf, with solid colors and simple patterns against the background. This unique layout directs attention to a single, high-impact point. Similar to a repeat pattern, a centered logo enhances your logo’s visual presence. Uniquely, it is more straightforward and less stylish, making it perfect for making school, club, and sports scarves.

Small Corner Logo

For solid-color, striped, and other simply designed scarves, it is also very common to place the logo in one corner. This logo placement results in an understated luxury, making the scarf highly versatile. As a result, this design is widely used in the production of corporate gifts, anniversary commemorative items, merchandise, and uniform accessories (such as airline scarves).

Logo in Label/Tag

If you pursue logo-less design, you can print your logo only on the label or tag. Typically paired with neutral colors and clean silhouettes, this design embodies a quiet luxury. The invisible logo layout also maximizes the versatility and longevity of the scarf. In short, the scarf is highly sought after for personalized gifting or luxury brands.

More Tips about the Layouts

Suggested Layouts for Custom Scarves in Different Shapes

Scarf StylesRecommended Layouts
Square Scarves
  • Regular all-over logo print
  • Large centered logo + solid-color background + border design
  • Small corner logo + solid-color base + border design
  • Unstructured repeating logo print (relatively less used)
Long & Skinny Scarves
  • Full-coverage logo print + solid border
Triangle & Diamond Scarves
  • All-over logo print (adjustable according to specific sizes, resulting in a different visual effect than classic squares and longs.)

Logo Design in Double-Sided Digital Printing

Sino Silk also supports double-sided printing for custom scarves with logos. In double-face printing, the reverse side will typically display a mirror image.

Text-based logos are harder to handle. If you apply the mirror design, the texts on the back side may be hard to read. If you require both sides to display the logo in a forward-facing orientation, this may lead to ghosting or bleed-through.

In addition, for double-sided printing with different colors, we recommend not choosing extremely high-contrast colors. Typical examples include black and white, red and green, or any pairing of a dark shade with a light one. These color combinations may also cause ink bleeding or ghosting. Instead, analogous palettes such as red and orange, blue and green, or red and yellow, are great choices. These tones create a striking and harmonious visual effect.

To sum up, while double-sided printed logo scarves are exquisite and luxurious, they require more carefully curated designs. If you’re not sure about whether your logo layout and colorway are suitable for double-face printed scarves, feel free to contact us anytime.

Generate a Digital Mockup

Once the design is finalized, we’ll render a digital preview. It simulates how the artwork will appear on the final fabric. More importantly, it is a realistic image that allows us to discuss adjustments to the layout, colors, and dimensions before printing. Of course, if you’d like, it also works for online marketing campaigns such as pre-sales or soliciting followers’ feedback on social media.

Prototyping (Optional) and Mass Production

If you want to check the fabric’s handfeel, color accuracy, and print quality, we can also provide a physical sample printed with the logo. A small sample cost and shipping fee are required.

If you approve the sample and place an order, our factory will produce in batches according to the sample quality. Furthermore, the sample fee can be deducted after the final order is confirmed.
